Saying goodbye

Saying goodbye to the students and teachers at the school was incredibly hard. I don't think that these pictures even do it justice. We said our goodbyes to some of the kids at the school while the rest of them helped us with our luggage to the train station. I sat with one of my students on the way to the train station and we listened to Backstreet Boys on my iPod the whole way. Those students loved the Backstreet Boys. Then as we were getting off of the bus, she came up to me, looked me straight in the eyes, and started singing, "I don't care who you are, where you're from, what you did...as long as you love me!"

As the train pulled out of the station and I had to leave those kids behind, I was so upset because I wasn't sure when or even if I would be back to Nanning. It makes me so excited to know that I get to go back in less than a month and see their beautiful faces again! I love Nanning!
